Clearcall 2 handsfree unit, fitting and setting-up guide.
Establish a suitable location within the vehicle where the Clearcall unit does not obstruct the driver's view or controls, and secure by either the vent or self-adhesive mounting solutions which are included.
Fit the duplex microphone in front of the driver, the ideal location for this is on the 'A' pillar (this is the pillar by the windscreen) and secure, or clip the microphone to the sunvisor and place the microphone plug into the correct socket on the top left corner of the unit. Ideally the microphone and unit should be about 1 metre apart.
Place the power supply cable into the receptacle on the bottom left of the unit and place the cigar plug into the cigar lighter on the dashboard, the green power light should now be illuminated.
Set the microphone control switch on the left of the unit to the L (low) setting and set the speaker control volume on the bottom right of the unit to about halfway.
Place the phone connector lead into the bottom of the unit, and place the phone into the cradle, then place the connector lead into the phone ensuring the phone is switched off.
Switch the phone on and wait for it to register on your chosen network. Place a call to a number of your choice or your networks test number and adjust the speaker volume to a suitable level, this may take a couple of minutes to complete and end the call. Place another call to a landline and once it has been answered speak normally towards the microphone, if the person you have called says that the incoming call volume is low move the microphone switch to the medium (M) position this should then be satisfactory, end call.
The unit is now set-up correctly.
